Salary:
The Energy Auditor is responsible for facilitating participation in energy assessments and the development of building conservation programs. Our valued Energy Auditor will conduct comprehensive audits to identify energy conservation measures and associated savings potential. This role also involves planning, inspecting, and approving projects with the installation of equipment and materials.


Here's What You'll Get to Do:

  • Explains the advantages of energy conservation to our valued clients regarding the cost-effectiveness and savings potential in program participation.
  • Gathers information to determine energy use, energy loss, and potential energy savings.
  • Researching energy conservation opportunities for individual buildings; determining costbenefit elements of implementation plans; preparing written energy audit reports; presenting findings and proposed energy management program.
  • Reviews plans for new construction and recommends energyefficient methods; conducts presentations on energy management practices and procedures for clients; may serve as a technical resource as appropriate.
  • Reviews and negotiates cost estimates and cost proposals prepared by contractors and consulting engineering firms.
  • Inspects installation of energy conservation measures for compliance with engineering standards, technical requirements, and specifications.
  • Determines clients' eligibility to participate in conservation and various government programs.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Here's What You'll Bring to the Role:

  • A Degree in Energy Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • A Certified Energy Manager (CEM) designation or Accredited by Canadian Engineering Accreditation Board (CEAB) is required.
  • Minimum eightyears of experience in commercial or industrial energy management.
  • Possesses strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Requires attention to detail and ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Proven interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
  • Fluent in both written and spoken English.
  • Eligible for Ontario's "G" driver's license and a clean driver's abstract.
