About the role:


This position will report directly into the Innovation, Strategy & Operations organization (MIST) in OBU Medical, but would work closely with the Oncology Medical Evidence Head, Delivery and Operations.


Accountabilities/responsibilities:


  • Actively involved in review and development of short & longterm strategy for EGP2 organization. Maintain an uptodate understanding of all developments which may affect the organization's operations and policies and proactively advise Evidence Delivery partners to achieve business requirements and objectives.
  • Partner with the Medical Evidence Head, Delivery and Operations and the leadership team to progress from conceptualization to implementation on overarching team strategy and vision
  • Partners with other MIST PMs supporting Global Medical tumor and asset teams, Medical Excellence and PMO to ensure alignment and appropriate inclusion of support.
  • Responsible for strategic planning and prioritization of key team results such as development of roadmaps, walking decks, leadership presentations, etc.
  • Facilitates overall budget and strategic workforce planning across team including forecasting, phasing and prioritization across the business planning cycle (RBU, MTP) as well as rollup into Long Range Plans (LRPs)
  • Maintain awareness of projects/activities across teams in order to ensure alignment and find opportunities for collaboration, efficiencies and identify/drive areas for process improvement
  • Responsible for overall budget and contract management
  • Drive and supervise timely progress of EDT scorecard related priorities as outlined by LT
  • Maintains project/results dashboard for portfolio progress against scorecard objectives or team initiatives
  • Responsible for TA portfolio management including liaison with procurement and management of documentation repository
  • Lead specific, strategic projects per the direction of Evidence Delivery Team Leadership (EDLT) Provide impactful communications on behalf of the leadership team to senior leadership & members of the strategy team
  • Accountable for implementation of medical standards
  • Leads effective agenda driven meetings with the EDLT, provides strategic input into meeting agendas, identify and track decisions, actions and risks for the team to monitor progression of activitie
  • Leads the preparation for departmental meetings including shaping the agenda, rehearsals, slides management and meeting facilitation Responsible for developing and maintaining departmental slides, portfolio strategy decks for various required business meetings
  • Supports the Leadership Team with daily operations of Evidence Delivery Team Defines with EDLT required offsite meetings and ensures flawless implementation
  • Coordinates with new EGP2 employee's manager to onboard and assist in oversight around training records, compliance with other AZ business processes
  • Provides guidance and serves as Point of contact for Quality Management and appropriate training for the EGP2 team to ensure the team operates compliantly within the processes and SOPs.
  • Continuous improvement on ways of working to share best practices to streamline and simplify the business processes and efficiencies across the portfolio
  • May be assigned special projects, initiatives, workstreams by the Global Portfolio Director, EGP2.

Required experience:


  • Proven experience in pharmaceutical industry
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in Medical Affairs, Commercial and R&D (Global, regional, or local)
  • Experience of successful influencing cross functionally, crossculturally and crossbrands
  • Experience of effective working in a multicultural, matrixed environment Experience working in a global setting, managing partners within different time zones
  • Experience preparing and/or delivering presentations to executive leadership
  • Experience in planning and leading strategic initiatives
