The moderate climate allows residents to participate in numerous outdoor activities on a year-round basis.

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Human Resources Professional to join our team.

The successful incumbent will deliver HR leadership that is grounded in district goals, and in support of all district departments and schools.


School District 72 Campbell River is located on the east coast of central Vancouver Island, extending north to Sayward and south to Oyster River.

The district also includes the outer islands of Read, Cortes, and Quadra.

We serve over 5,500 students in 18 schools with a diverse range of programs that are progressive and responsive to the educational needs and interests of students.

Honour Indigenous world views and perspectives.


School District 72 Campbell River operates on the territories of the Laichwiltach, Klahoose and K'omoks First Nations and we honour these relationships.

POSITION OVERVIEW

QUALIFICATIONS
Ideally you will have a minimum of five (5) years of progressive human resources experience.

A bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field with strong knowledge of recruitment, labour relations and collective agreements in a unionized environment.

Previous experience in the K-12 sector is considered a strong asset, as is a CPHR designation. Excellent communication skills and proven ability to build and maintain positive relationships with partners and stakeholders.

Transparent practice, inclusivity and decisiveness are the hallmarks of your HR style, as is an ability to work independently and as part of a team through changing conditions and emerging issues.
