What you will be doing in the role of Human Resources Administrator:
Your responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Recruitment and Onboarding

  • Leading Lakeside's recruitment cycle and ensuring targets are met
  • Creating and posting job advertisements
  • Interviewing entry level positions
  • Leading the new hire onboarding process
  • Acting as a primary point of contact for new employees on their first day
  • Supporting the coordination of Career Fairs and information sessions held at Universities and Colleges
  • Creating and updating Procedure Documents related to recruitment processes
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives for Recruitment and Onboarding processes
  • Supporting administrative tasks related to the fullcycle recruitment process, including but not limited to:
  • Uploading resumes to the applicant tracking system
  • Creating offer letters
Learning and Development Program

  • Researching training vendors and trends related to methods/mediums (ondemand, virtual, and in person)
  • Managing attendance records and requests for registration per course
  • Supporting dayof activities for training sessions held at Lakeside
  • Acting as the primary point of contact for external trainers
  • Following up on Training Checklists
  • Updating learning records in the Learning Management System
  • Supporting the Learning and Development Coordinator on various learning activities
Wellness Program

  • Researching current trends and resources to support the development of the Wellness Program
  • Actively participating in the development and execution of the Wellness Program
  • Researching vendor costs and preparing a budget for the Annual Wellness Program
  • Tracking program spending in real time, flagging costs that may exceed the approved budget
  • Leading Wellness events on
- and off-site, during business hours and during approved after-hours events

  • Promoting the Wellness Program across Lakeside and encouraging employees to participate in events (in person and virtually)
Administrative Tasks

  • Monitoring HR Inboxes
  • Meeting Minutes for all HR Team Meetings
  • Meeting Minutes for Indigenous Relations Working Group meetings
  • Creating surveys
  • Coordinating meetings and events
  • Scanning and photocopying documents
  • Filing documents into Employee Folders
  • Researching various topics as required to determine best practices and new methods for improving HR programs and initiatives
  • Assisting with other projects, as assigned

Knowledge and skills required for the role:

  • University Degree in Human Resources OR University Degree with Post-Graduate studies in Human Resources
  • One to Three (13) years' of HR administrative support
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio, and PDF Exchange)
  • Professionalism and confidentiality
  • Well organized and attentive to detail
  • Strong ability to multitask and time manage
  • Welldeveloped communication skills (written and oral)
