Musselman Excavating is a local growing excavating company that is looking for a Civil Foreman to join our ICI team.

If you have experience in commercial excavating, job site management and consider yourself to be an organized/detail-oriented individual with a passion for the excavating industry, this position may be right for you.


Salary:
$35/hr - $45/hr, dependent on experience

Responsibilities

  • Act as a working foreman on a commercial excavating project while working alongside your crew
  • Safely and efficiently operate heavy equipment such as excavators, loaders, skid steers, dozers and various others
  • Various labour duties on job sites
  • Review project specifications and drawings to understand scope of work
  • Train, support and manage daytoday field staff assigned to your projects
  • Effectively communicate with project managers and the operations team
  • Attend regular site meetings
  • Communicate to the office daily about production, materials and resources needed for the next day
  • Support our on site health and safety program, complete daily JSAs, weekly safety talks and weekly jobsite inspections
  • Required to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions
  • Other duties as required

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in excavating or a related industry
  • Minimum 23 years of foreman experience
  • Previous hands on construction experience is required
  • Ability to expertly read and understand project specifications, drawings and details
  • Strong operating abilities and understanding of excavating equipment capabilities and best methods
  • Must be a highly effective and confident communicator, both written and verbal
  • Strong attention to detail

Job Types:

Salary:
$35.00-$45.00 per hour
