Associate Manager, Process Excellence & Improvement

**Description: - Permanent Full Time- Reporting to the Manager of Plan Sponsor Services, Process Excellence - the Associate Manager for Process Excellence is responsible for developing a high-performance business analyst team, which supports both strategic and business lead initiatives.- The Associate Manager will provide leadership, methodological, administrative, and business support to the team.- This role supports the development of new processes, tools and systems for the business while creating solid relationships with our technology and business partners.


Given the size and scope of our organization, we have the flexibility for this position to be located in the following head office locations:
Winnipeg, Toronto, London


What you will do:


  • Drive execution of process reengineering and improvement projects
  • Recommend continuous improvements based on data analysis
  • Implement continuous improvements in collaboration with the business
  • Manage the people side of change to achieve a desired state of operational excellence (through communication, coaching, transition and training, and resistance management).
  • Guide the team in taking a lead role in the design and definition of business requirements, working collaboratively with business, technology and external partners, always considering the end to end impact of any possible solution
  • Participate in/provide regular updates to stakeholders and project sponsors
  • Manage team resources effectively in a demanding and changing environment considering priorities and staff development, identifying and escalating any potential risks
  • Provide superior leadership and staff career development:
  • Attract and retain talent in building a high-performing team
  • Provide daily leadership, coaching, and mentoring to all staff in addition to scheduled reviews
  • Build cross system knowledge and business analyst methodology among staff

What you will bring:


  • Ability to analyze and balance inputs to make effective decisions that appropriately consider scope and impact
  • Ability to foster (by example and coaching) an environment that encourages new approaches, challenges the status quo and inspires creativity
  • Superior communication skills, allowing the articulate sharing of complex matters, risks and benefits to stakeholders and other audiences
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build partnerships with both the business and technology teams
  • Skilled at creating and articulating a vision for large process improvement initiatives
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize competing projects
  • Reliability Status security clearance this is a personnel security status that is required before an employee can gain access to Protected B information, assets or work sites as outlined by the Government of Canada website

Qualifications:


  • Postsecondary education in business administration, engineering, computer science, social sciences, etc. or equivalent experience or qualifications
  • 3+ years in a business analyst or process analyst related role
  • 2+ years leading business projects
  • Certification in Lean Six-Sigma (Green or Black belt)
  • Certification in business analysis (CBAP), change management (Prosci), or project management (PMP) would be beneficial
  • Experience in group insurance is an asset
  • The base salary for this position is between
    $61,900.

00*:

- $114,500.00** annually. This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc). If you are selected to move forward in our recruitment process, your recruiter will be able to discuss additional details of our total rewards program with you.
