    What does a Healthcare Communications Specialist in Toronto do?

    • Strong knowledge of the site, including all applicable fields (Fire safety, elevators, clinics, security measures, Code responses, and various other site needs).
    • Have a problem-solving mentality combined with critical thinking to find effective solutions to complex issues.
    • Exceptional interpersonal, oral, and written presentation skills.
    • Strong skills in contributing positively to collective efforts and supporting team motivation and performance. Strong team player.
    • Able to understand and operate all access control and CCTV systems. While following all hospital and confidentiality policies.
    • Will have demonstrated computer knowledge and the ability to learn new software.
    • Will be familiar with privacy related legislation.
    • Must be willing to participate in on-going training and development.
    • Strong diplomacy skills.

    Qualifications to become a Healthcare Communications Specialist


    •Ability to complete both theory and practical application-based courses with GardaWorld


    •Valid Ontario Security Guard license


    •Current CPR-C standard certificate as issued by a WSIB-recognized provider


    •3 years experience in a similar capacity, in the security industry


    •Work or volunteer experience within the vulnerable sector (patient care, disadvantaged groups, mental health and drug addiction)


    •Ability to meet healthcare immunization requirements


    •Legally eligible to work in Canada


    •Available and willing to work continental, rotating shifts, including weekends
