- University degree in Electrical Engineering with Professional Engineering designation or working towards P. Eng (EIT status).
- Minimum of five (5) years of utility experience, including protection and control expertise.
- Master's degree in electrical engineering with a focus on Power Systems, Electrical Machines, or Protection and Controls is an advantage.
- Proficiency in Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs, RTUs, RTACs), Digital and Analog relaying, secure data network infrastructure, switches, routers, and communications infrastructure.
- Familiarity with generator connections and grid operations impact, ability to interpret electrical circuit and control diagrams.
- Quick problem-solving skills, both independently and within a team.
- Class 'G' driver's licence.

Operational Technology (OT) Engineer
The OT Engineer reports to the Manager Operational Technology and is responsible for designing operational technology equipment, enhancing communication reliability, setting and maintaining OT Asset Management standards, defining criteria for asset life cycle, ensuring asset health, implementing replacement programs, suggesting software/hardware upgrades, and monitoring support availability. Duties also include collecting, analyzing, and evaluating SCADA/ADMS data, reporting on capacity, availability, and reliability. Collaborating with the System Planning Engineer, the OT Engineer assesses system enhancements with OT considerations, conducts engineering studies within the OT network, and interprets OT network data for protection settings to ensure system safety.
Skills and Competencies Required:
Salary Range: $103,795 - $115,328
