About the role
As the Social Worker, you will develop and maintain educational resources for community health care providers. And you will develop and maintain, or provide recommendations for, policies, procedures, and best practice guidelines for nurses. As well, you will support community healthcare providers and nurses. Additionally, you will participates in quality improvement activities.


About you
To be successful in this role you will have / be:

  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work from an approved post-secondary institution is required
  • Master's degree in Social Work from an approved postsecondary institution is an asset
  • Current practicing registration in good standing with the BC College of Social Workers
  • A valid BC Driver's License and access to personal vehicle for businessrelated purposes

You may have experience in;

  • Two (2) years of recent, relevant clinical experience working with palliative clients, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Experience providing serious illness and palliative care to First Nations clients

The Pay Range is the minimum (Step 1) and maximum (highest Step) annual base salary based on full time equivalent hours.


As a health and wellness organization, the FNHA has aligned with the Provincial Public Health Order released on October 14, 2021.

We have a mandatory COVID-19 vaccination policy for all employees at First Nations Health Authority. This policy requires all employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

If selected for employment, you will be required to provide proof of vaccination by providing a copy of your BC Vaccination Card Passport with the QR code.
