Your Opportunity:

Responsible to the Manager of Occupational Therapy Service, the Administrative Support III is responsible for the overall clinic and/or program support for Pediatric Central Intake

Provides general clerical support including preliminary screening, processing referrals, scheduling meetings and appointments, file management, data entry, word processing, report management, and follow-up phone calls.

Provides assistance to patients, families, and clerical staff both in-person and over-the-phone. Works closely with other clerical support staff in other areas (e.g. Medicine, Nursing, Physical Therapy, Communication Disorders, Psychology, Social Work and Admitting). Assists with clinical projects or services and other related clerical duties including coverage for other clerical positions as required.

Required Qualifications:

Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.


Additional Required Qualifications:

Completion of post-secondary education (e.g. certificate in office or business administration). Previous experience with multi-provider scheduling and customer service focus and in health care setting required. Ability to multitask between multiple high-volume clinics with multidisciplinary assessment. Advances Schegistrar abilities within Connect Care is required. Ability to triage, screen, and schedule within Connect Care is required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook required. Must have effective interpersonal and communication skills and an ability to prioritize and organize work assignments with mínimal direction. Must be able to tolerate prolonged sitting and various keyboarding tasks for 70-80% of the day.
