CLIENT SERVICE WORKER
Part-time position

flexible working hours

travel required throughout York Region

travel & mileage paid between clients.

Interested in helping clients improve safety and function in their homes?

In this position you will work with adults to assist them reduce risks associated with cluttered living environments, uncleanliness and squalor, and/or unmaintained homes

Using a harm reduction approach, the Client Service Worker is responsible for assisting clients sort, organize, and discard possessions. Assistance with cleaning may be required

Program Services are delivered both in home and virtually. Personal protective equipment provided

This is an exciting opportunity to get experience working with clients with hoarding behaviours

Training provided

Required Skills:

Social Service Worker or Community Service Worker Diploma (or in progress)
First Aid certification required
Experience working with clients living with mental health conditions
Knowledge of hoarding disorder is an asset
Interest in working with clients with hoarding behaviours
Ability to communicate effectively in English (verbal/written)
Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and problem solving skills
Ability to work independently, as well as cooperatively with team
Knowledge of community resources
Experience in community health setting an asset
Vehicle and valid Ontario driver's license required
