Corporate Administration

Position Summary:


Corporate Administration is directly responsible for performing data entry and related duties in disbursing non-payroll accounts payable to individuals, suppliers, businesses and other entities.

The C/A will also ensure the timely and accurate processing of payment documents such as invoices, purchase orders and any other accounting transactions related to C/A management.

This position involves diplomatic interaction to provide billing information and support to facilitate daily bank reconciliations.


Major Responsibilities:


  • Match invoices to receiving reports.
  • Enter invoices and cost purchase orders for payment.
  • Process related items including debits, credits and claims.
  • Correspond with vendors and branch personnel.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
  • Ensure the confidentiality and privacy of financial records as they relate to the organization and its business partners.
  • Investigate payment problems while following corporate C/A policies and procedures. Research and resolve issues as they arise.
  • Train for and work in reception as required.
  • Train for and work in the mailroom as required.

Preferred Skills & Experience:


  • Minimum Grade 12 education; postsecondary education in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration preferred with one or more years of experience, or an equivalent combination of knowledge and experience.
  • Computer literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Basic knowledge of accounting systems, budgets and internal controls.
  • Able to perform moderate to complex account reconciliations.
  • Sound analytical thinking, planning, prioritization and execution skills.
  • Excellent keyboarding skills.
  • Highly organized and a problem solver.
  • Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.
  • Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
  • Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with other departments and key business partners.
  • Willingness to go the extra mile.
  • Experience with Sx Enterprise / Trend is an asset.
