THE OPPORTUNITY


Join BCI as a Coordinator, Procurement, and play a pivotal role in streamlining procurement processes while collaborating with a dynamic team.


THE OVERVIEW


The Finance department is responsible for investment and corporate accounting, valuation, as well as financial statements and financial reporting to our clients.

The team also leads BCI's budgeting process, tax structuring and tax compliance, finance client engagement, finance operations, and performance measurement and attribution.


The Procurement branch of Finance is responsible for BCI's engagement with our vendor partners through sourcing, contracting, and vendor management lifecycles, including cost and vendor management and enabling departments with planning, sourcing, selecting, managing, and negotiating for a wide range of goods and services.


WHAT YOU WILL GET TO DO


Reporting to the Director, Procurement, you will support the implementation and maintenance of the procure-to-pay process and assist with ongoing procurement activities, including invoice processing, contract documentation, and drafting summaries for contract and sourcing activities.

This role requires operational and transactional procurement experience in sourcing and contract management, and with the procure-to-pay process. You will work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure efficient and effective procurement processes are in place.- Deliver and support operational and transactional procurement activities, including invoice processing, contract documentation, sourcing, supplier selection, and negotiation, while ensuring alignment with strategic plans- Assist with the implementation and ongoing operation of the procure-to-pay process, maintaining compliance with company policies and procedures, and providing input into workflows and purchase order management- Work closely with internal stakeholders to address procurement needs, provide guidance on best practices, and collaborate with external vendors to service emerging needs- Monitor and report on procurement performance, identifying opportunities for improvement, cost savings, and maintaining accurate records and documentation- Collaborate with other departments to ensure efficient procurement processes are in place- Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of procurement policies, procedures, and systems

WHAT YOU BRING- Undergraduate degree in Business Administration or similar, with certification/diploma in Procurement Management or equivalent work experience- 3-5 years of experience with procure-to-pay processes, systems, and operational procurement, including sourcing RFx activities, transactional sourcing, and maintaining transactional contracts- Proficient in legal contract content, standard terminology, and drafting contract outcomes- Strong planning, organizational, time management, verbal and written communication skills- Solid decision-making and negotiation skills, preferably from a purchasing/procurement background- Ability to build professional relationships with management, contractors, suppliers, and collaborate with peers to ensure consistent adherence to administrative systems and processes- Proficiency in e-Signature platforms like DocuSign, and Microsoft Office suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and mid-market or enterprise-level procure to pay systems

SALARY RANGE


BCI offers a competitive total rewards package which includes a performance-based incentive plan, comprehensive health & dental benefits, a defined benefit pension plan and paid time off.

The annualized base salary range for this Victoria-based role is CAD $73,000 to $85,000.

We aim for actual pay to be around the median of the market for target or expected levels of performance, and around the upper quartile of the market for excellent performance.


Actual salaries may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors, including, but not limited to, experience and expertise.
