We are searching for a strategic, passionate, and resilient professional to join our team in the role of _Vice President, Quality.

_The role is responsible for leading the Global Quality Organization in alignment with Aurora Cannabis Inc.'s quality strategy to achieve the best service standards and outcomes for patients, consumers, and the company.


What You'll Be Doing:


  • As a member of Aurora's Senior Leadership Team, provide overall guidance and direction to the business to provide quality governance, oversight, and alignment to operational and business initiatives
  • Lead and direct the quality teams to support marketed products for domestic and international markets. The quality teams are based in Canada, Europe, and South America.
  • Ensure implementation, effectiveness, and integrity of a quality system that is compliant to all applicable standards and regulations (i.e. Health Canada, GPPs, GMPs, etc.) to support the domestic and international marketed products
  • Work with the Senior Leadership Team to establish and drive the Quality Strategy to align with Aurora's values and corporate objectives and balance industry trends while maintaining compliance to regulatory expectations
  • Ensure adherence to the appropriate policies and procedures in place to support quality oversight of the operations
  • Stay current with industry trends, standards, and expectations to be able to adopt best practices
  • Establish and maintain the Quality budget
  • Ensure the Quality Organization is Fit for Purpose through measuring Quality Key Performance Indicators and employing continuous improvement strategies
  • Partner with other functional areas to establish and cultivate the Quality Culture and foster a World Class Quality Program across the business
  • Employ datadriven and factbased approaches to have the right metrics and objectives to enable having the pulse on the business
  • Focus and understanding of the daytoday operational activities to be able to correlate to the appropriate strategies
  • Create a strong partnership with key functional areas, specifically with Operations, Supply Chain, Business Development, and international teams
  • Provide leadership, technical direction, and coaching to direct and indirect reports
  • Other duties as required

Requirements:


  • Strong leadership, communication, and influencing skills and ability to navigate across the organization
  • Proven ability to develop and build high performing teams and strong crossfunctional stakeholder relationships
  • Ability to coach and develop employees to build a strong leadership pipeline
  • Ability to navigate through automated systems (I.e., ERP, eQMS, etc)

Other Qualities We Require:


  • A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Science, Technical discipline, or related field
  • 15+ years of experience in a Quality Operational environment, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry or consumerpackaged goods industry
  • 10+ years of experience in progressive leadership roles
  • Experience in manufacturing operations and controls, laboratory operations, quality systems within a GMP environment
  • Experience with interacting with domestic and international health authorities (Health Canada, FDA, etc)
  • Knowledge of European and International regulatory environment would be an asset
  • Knowledge of the cannabis regulatory framework would be an asset
