**Description: - Permanent Full Time- We are looking for an
Assistant Manager, Application Support. This is a hybrid role requiring a minimum of 3 days per week in office.

  • Given the size and scope of our organization, we have the flexibility for this position to be located in Toronto, London, Winnipeg, or Regina.
  • This is an exciting time to join the Investment Technology organization as we continue to build, enhance and support the technologies and systems that deliver functional value to our Investment division business partners. As an
    Assistant Manager, Application Support on our Investment Technology Operations Support team, you will lead technology professionals who have indepth knowledge of Investment business information systems.
    What You Will Do

Assistant Manager of Application Support is accountable for maintenance, support, and availability of on-premises systems and, 3rd party operated systems supporting the Business Unit.

This Role Involves the Following Activities

  • Maintain pulse on existing technology opportunities, emerging technologies, and service provider options.
  • Develop and maintain senior level relationships with other Information Services leaders (Infrastructure and Operations Services and other geographic locations), external vendors and industry forums for the purpose of understanding product and technology directions.
  • Lead coordination of technology resources on behalf of business unit in the event of critical technology incident, disaster recovery, and testing.
  • Delivery on development/enhancement/health activities as agreed to with business unit leaders.
  • Collaborates with business unit leaders to anticipate and respond to customer inquiries about technology capabilities and service expectations.
  • Ensures focus on continuous improvement.

What You Will Bring

  • A degree or diploma in computer science or a related discipline or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • 8+ years experience in technology, leadership experience would be an asset.
  • Ability to work with mínimal supervision, take initiative and be able to work on multiple concurrent tasks.
  • High learning agility to switch rapidly between tasks, work closely with business partners, and contribute fully to business outcomes.
  • Drives results and contributes to change processes that improve business unit performance and creates a culture of accountability.
  • Promote innovation and guides change with customer understanding and strives for service excellence.
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity while building strong relationships and influencing skills.
  • Able to be "handson" with support, excellent critical thinking skills but also have a strategic / business mindset.
  • MS SQL and Oracle Database technologies experience.
  • Ability to troubleshoot store procedures and write SQL Queries.
  • Dot net technologies and concepts experience.
  • Experience of working with Agile/DevOps methodologies.

  • The base salary for this position is between
    $61,900*:
  • $114,500** annually. This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc).
