Purpose of Role:


The role is accountable for working with and supporting the Sr Manager - DEI and Engagement to execute the global DEI and Employee Engagement programs.


Responsibilities:


1.


Culture and Engagement:


  • Works with the Sr. Manager
  • DEI and Engagement to execute and update the organization's strategy for culture, and engagement. Monitors the work supporting this strategy, working closely with other members of the global HR team to advance this work, ensuring and maintaining global alignment and to continually adapt and adjust to meet business and regional needs, while still achieving the desired outcomes
  • Actively monitors industry trends and internal opportunities to drive the evolution of Kinross culture and employee engagement ensuring that the engagement and retention of people continue to be industry leading
  • Assist in maintaining the company DEI / engagement calendar and planning employee engagement activities
  • Works closely with the regional HR teams, collaborate and communicate with stakeholders and Key DEI partners
  • Responsible for the execution of the annual LOVA program globally
  • Develops employee engagement initiatives and works with the business on action plans to enhance engagement

DEI:


  • Works with the Sr. Manager
  • DEI and Engagement in the development and execution of the organization's DEI initiatives
  • Researches and prepares presentations on current DEI areas of interest and materials to be used at corporate sites and regions by DEI champions to reinforce DEI strategy implementation
  • Acts as a resource for event planning for DEI webinars series to include sourcing speakers and engaging with global sites for participation
  • Supports DEI awareness action implementation, assisting with training presentations, meeting logistics, training handouts and creating/distributing class evaluations. Training logistics may include sending meeting invites, room setup, materials, technical setup, and catering
  • Assists in maintaining the company DEI / engagement calendar and planning employee engagement activities
  • Collect internal and external data and build reporting and analytics to evaluate and track the effectiveness of current DEI programs and training; participate in external benchmarks and make recommendations on strategy and process as appropriate

Qualifications & Skills:


Education

  • University degree
  • Additional specialized education of up to 4 years
  • Formal professional or technical registration in the appropriate area of expertise

Experience
years of related work experience or equivalent

  • Previous experience in the mining industry is preferred
  • Second language Spanish, Portuguese, French, or Arabic is preferred

Skills

  • Ability to handle multiple assignments on a timely basis with high accuracy and to meet established deadlines.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office package (PowerPoint, excel, word, SharePoint, and design tools programs are a plus)
  • Must be organized and able to prioritize workflow and competing demands
  • Must work accurately with attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated teamwork and collaborative work style with a customercentric approach. Can work both independently and collaboratively, requiring limited supervision and followup on tasks.
  • Strong execution and problemsolving skills, as well as acute attention to detail
