GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY


The Driver Exam Administrator is responsible for administering and monitoring written driver exams, responding to inquiries during exams and from the inquiry line, and providing administrative support.


KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Customer Appointments- Administers and monitors written exams.- Reviews documentation against established criteria.- Determines if any aspect of the learning period or education can be waived for an offshore driver.- Determines eligibility for a driver exam.


Customer Inquiries- Supports inquiries while a written exam is being administered (technical or interpretive).- Explains licencing requirements for all classes and endorsements.- Provides information and/or answers related questions from internal and/or external persons based on departmental procedures (e.g., customers, trucking schools, other business partners).- Provides switchboard services by receiving, transferring, and/or referring calls to the appropriate department and/or person.- Answers customer calls and books customer appointments through the Driver Exam Inquiry Line.


Administrative Support- Performs reconciliation of daily Moneris and End of Period reporting.- Maintains standard file records and/or logs and may be required to search for and/or review file documents using manual and/or automated systems.- Maintains inventory and security of office supplies.

TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS- Knowledge of arithmetic calculations.- Knowledge of the Auto Fund driver and vehicle programs.- Knowledge of the Auto Fund driver licence classifications.- Skill in telephone etiquette (i.e., answering phones, handling the call, listening, professionalism and terminology).- Skill in completing forms accurately and proofreading documents for accuracy.- Skill in using Microsoft Office products (e.g., Word, Excel).- Knowledge of the functions of Auto Fund.

EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS- Grade 12/GED.

EXPERIENCE- 6 months' - 1 year's experience providing office/administrative support or customer service.


Pay Range:
$42, $50,532.00
