What you will do


The Business Analyst - International Transportation is responsible for representing the company and managing the inbound workflow through our transload facilities.

They work closely with CTC's external third party transload providers and ocean carrier service providers for the Asia Pacific and the European trade lanes as well as internal CTC supply chain teams such as Capacity Planning, Offshore Logistics, Vancouver Operations and all Distribution Centers.

This is a pivotal role in managing CTC's offshore volume into North America.

  • Own the day to day operational relationship with third party transload facilities in Canada
  • Act as the key contact for transload operations for all internal and external stakeholders
  • Work closely with transload management to ensure that capacity and staffing requirements are maintained to handle current and forecasted offshore container volume
  • Create weekly & daily production plans based off the vessel arrival schedules, manage changes to inbound flow, and develop action plans based on volume and handling requirements.
  • Identify and manage productivity improvements within the transload to benefit CTC supply chain and transportation.
  • Monitor transload performance metrics against set service level targets and action as necessary
  • Support strategic & tactical projects throughout the year.

What you bring

  • Post secondary education in Business, Engineering, Mathematics, or similar
  • Ability to take charge and address ambiguous and uncertain operational issues while managing multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Ability to work in a selfdirected manner and with crossfunctional teams
  • Experience negotiating with and managing 3rd party service providers/vendors
  • 2 years of experience relevant to operations planning and logistics
  • Comfortable analyzing and turning data into actionable insights (Excel, VBA, PowerBI, Visio, Access)
  • Ability to negotiate and implement change
  • Familiarity with internal CTC systems and supply chain processes is an asset
