Guidance Counsellor Job Posting

The School Guidance Counselor will assist the students with their educationalplanning such as research educational institutions, courses, and programs.
The guidance counsellor participates in the development and implementation of academic and vocational guidance services while respecting the educational and administrative frameworks at both the school and school board levels.
Student Supportthrough connections from grade to grade and through high school and beyond
He or she plans, organizes and delivers academic and vocational information activities dealing with program requirements, professions and market trends; will also require an indepth knowledge of Junior High and High school credentials for the different possible certificates, diplomas and scholarships/bursaries

Qualifications

Bachelor of Education degree.
Ability to speak Cree will be considered an asset.
Experience teaching in a First Nations context will be considered an asset.
