Description

The Operations Manager is responsible for coordinating with the management team of the PEC to develop and set the strategic direction and curriculums of both products and services offered and ensuring that a flawless execution of said programs is delivered.

This role is also tasked with supporting the Manager, PEC Toronto to look at the overall business strategically to identify future growth and revenue opportunities in order to expand the PEC to new audiences and segments.

It is the responsibility of this positon to manage the operating vendor(s) supporting the business to ensure all Porsche brand standards are being delivered and operations are being efficiently run.


This position will support in the establishment of an organizational structure with clear roles & responsibilities, well defined processes, and good cross departmental coordination and communication that is aligned with the Porsche excite values.

The main business generator of the PEC is the drive experience and therefore the largest operational focus for the position.

Other functions of the position include successful management and oversight of the Food & Beverage operations,, New Vehicle Delivery program, logistics team, detail operations, simulated and virtual driving, /track operations and as well as other day-to-day operational business integrations with partners and sponsors.


The Operations Manager is a strategic leader able to work closely with the Manager, PEC Toronto to steer the PEC operations and profitability, while implementing its vision, mission and long-term goals, ensuring the PEC is constantly moving towards fulfilling the short term and long-term objectives.

This position is also responsible for supporting the building of an effective team of leaders by providing guidance and coaching.

A successful Manager is constantly seeking for creative ways to grow the overall business, improve the customer experience and ensure that all programs deliver Porsche Passion.


Primary Responsibilities:


1)
Drive Team:

a) Continuous development and implementation of an ongoing evaluation, grading, quality assessment, certification and training concept to grow the instructor team and maintain a Porsche appropriate standard service level

b) Ongoing development and implementation of the overall safety and emergency standards for the PEC

c) Responsible for the driving curriculum, constantly striving to innovate and create new driving programs to generate new sources of revenue.


2)
Logistics Team:

a) Develop and ensure training of the logistics team on Porsche product knowledge and job duties

b) Ensure safe and responsible-minded operation of the PEC car fleet by

i) ongoing qualification and certification of safe vehicle operation

ii) ongoing yearly training on vehicle detailing Porsche level standards

c) Ensure all compliance and liability targets are met and documentation completed, in accordance to the defined logistics process document


3)
Detailing Team:

a) Develop and implement strategies, guidelines, processes and training for car detailing and maintenance, to Porsche standards

b) Guarantee necessary resources and infrastructure is in place to fulfill the demand

c) Responsible for implementing measures and processes for a lean operation and sustainable budget control to track performed services while meeting defined KPIs


4)
Simulator Lab:

a) Responsible for establishing a smooth, sustainable liaison between different vendors

b) Responsible to further develop equipment and content to adapt to a changing technological environment (i.e. VR)

c) Innovate and develop new program offers to drive growing revenue

d) Liaise with PAG to guarantee that relevant software updates are available and implemented on time

e) Explore opportunities within eSports and eGaming


5)
Workshop:

a) Work with Workshop team for developing and implementing processes and guidelines to guarantee:
i) fleet operation at any time;
ii) safe operation of fleet in line with our corporate compliance and liability;
iii) availability of necessary equipment for workshop operation;
(1) Workshop operations should be in line with PEC KPI Targets for workshop efficiency / # of vehicles out of service / zero vehicle fault messages in front of customers

(2) Ensure workshop documentation and efficiency via the dealer management system

(3) Ensure parts inventory is in line with our PEC vehicle usage and retirement schedule

(4) Ensure that all OHSA requirements are met and adhered to for safety and compliance

(5) Assist the Workshop team to account for an efficient operation of vehicle validation and retirement

7)
New Vehicle Delivery (NVD)
a) Development, implementation and management of New Vehicle Delivery (NVD) processes and budget

b) Oversight of NVD processes and communication structure with PCL Sales Operations and customers

i) Work with NVD team on ways to improve a unique customer experience that exceeds expectations
