Role Summary

The Golf Simulator Attendant will be responsible for providing consistently high levels of customer service to all guests in the Clubhouse by providing prompt service. This role will perform duties in a friendly and professional manner and ensure that guests have an enjoyable experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all dishes, glasses, and cutlery are clean for table setting
  • Clean designated areas, in accordance with procedures, morning or evening routines and hygiene requirements
  • Stock and maintain all cleaning materials
  • Ensure table decorations are fresh and comply with standards and clean and refill cruet and condiment sets
  • Set tables to standards, ensuring all items used are clean, and in a good state of repair
  • Obtain and assume responsibility of a cash float, reconciling at the end of each shift
  • Follow all safe work practices and checklists, including opening and closing inventories, obtaining food, ice, beverages, and sundries
  • Reconcile inventory at the end of each shift
  • Provide a high level of service to the members, by practicing member recognition and prompt service
  • Prepare simulator for use at the start of the day and turn off the simulator and all other equipment at the end of the day
  • Book simulator tee times over the phone and in person
  • Ensure simulator is properly calibrated and there are no issues with the display or technology
  • Assist simulator guests with setting up their game and/or practice session
  • Provide guest assistance as required for any simulator issues or questions
  • Answering guest inquires, providing information regarding 2023 events, memberships, and general golf information
  • May assist in light food preparation
  • Remove waste and recycling for proper disposal
  • Welcome and acknowledge each guest with a smile, eye contact and a friendly verbal greeting using the guests' names when possible
  • Compliance with all safety regulations of assigned tasks, and ensure a clean and safe working environment with active participation in the health and safety program
  • Adhere to all environmental policies and programs as required
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • At least one year of related work experience in a food and beverage environment
  • Smart Serve certification
  • Valid Ontario Drivers License
  • Prior cash handling experience
  • Must possess excellent customer service skills
  • Detailoriented and works with a high degree of accuracy
  • Ability to multitask in a fastpaced environment
  • Must be extremely responsible with integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion

Working Conditions

  • Must be able to work flexible hours including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Required to move, lift, carry, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance
  • Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period or for an entire shift
  • Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, and pulling
  • Move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces
