Your opportunity:


The Office of Experiential Education (OEE) is responsible for ensuring the delivery and coordination of diverse experiential education experiences for students enrolled in a variety of programs at the Leslie Dan Faculty of Pharmacy.

The OEE operates as the central hub for all activities related to experiential education and provides support to pharmacist preceptors in practice sites across the province and beyond.


Your responsibilities will include:


  • Identifying, fostering and maintaining relationships with potential and existing experiential sites to understand their site specific requirements, and working closely with site representatives to ensure they are adequately prepared to support student placement activities
  • Facilitating information sessions to provide detailed information to students on expectations, requirements, procedures, policies and deadlines related to experiential education programs
  • Coordinating processes required for the submission of required documentation including updating and maintaining records and collating and organizing various reports to ensure compliance
  • Resolving issues within the scope of the role and escalating problems as required

Essential Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's Degree (business administration, human resources or education degree is preferred) or an acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum three years of relevant experience in a cooperative education or experiential education environment coordinating activities, scheduling, and supporting students (preferably in a university or highly complex public sector environment)
  • Experience with co‐operative education, internship or placement programs
  • Experience guiding, coaching and advising students on workintegrated learning programming. Wellhoned advising skills.
  • Experience facilitating experiential or career‐related workshops. Demonstrated presentation and facilitation skills, with knowledge of experiential models and practices
  • Experience coordinating complex scheduling requirements
  • Experience managing databases
  • Experience compiling, analyzing and reporting data (descriptive and statistical) and writing reports
  • Excellent communication (oral and written), interpersonal, and customer service skills
  • Strong analytical and problems solving skills
  • Strong computer and technical skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint), Adobe Acrobat, Canvas (or similar learning management engines), and AV equipment; Experience with CORE ELMS and eValue is an asset
  • Knowledge of human resources theories and practices (ex: workplace standards, recruitment practices, and employment legislation)
  • Proven ability to write documents and reports that are accurate, balanced, and reflect the assigned task
  • Ability to exercise tact, diplomacy, discretion, and good judgment; ability to maintain confidentiality, including, but not limited to, students, University staff, and senior university and hospital officials
