About us


The Hope Medical Clinic was established in 1993 and serves the high-needs communities of Delton, Eastwood and Elmwood Par in Edmonton.

The clinic's patient population includes immigrants, low income families, persons with disabilities and addictions, many of whom require much complex care.

We are a team of physicians and health care staff who are committed to the total well-being of all who come through our doors, with the aim of providing holistic longitudinal primary care in all aspects of physical, emotional, mental and spiritual health to our patients.

Our office is seeking a hard-working, quick-learning individual to join our team as a Medical Office Assistant.

In addition to assisting the medical practitioners, responsibilities include:

- performing day-to-day administrative duties
- answering phones and greeting patients
- utilizing an electronic medical record (Healthquest EMR)
- booking appointments
- sorting incoming faxes and sending outgoing faxes
- shredding documents
- participate in team meetings and annual review
- rooming patients, documenting vitals and reason for visit
- cleaning waiting and examining rooms as needed
- lab work (urine dips, labeling specimens)


Requirements:


  • Reliably able to commute to and arrive punctually at our clinic in Eastwood/Delton area
  • English proficiency
  • Fast typist and familiarity with computers
  • Ability to handle high paced, stressful environments
  • Hardworking and takes initiative to become a part of the clinic's success.
  • Keen to learn and open to feedback
  • Caring attitude towards the wellbeing of our patients
  • Full time availability, Mon-Fri, 9:305:30pm, with potential to become a permanent position

Salary:
From $17.00 per hour

  • Would you be available to work Monday to Friday between 9:30am5:30pm for the long run? (40 hours/week)
