Description

The Visitation and Office Clerk is responsible for duties associated with supporting safe onsite visitation for Residents, under the general supervision of the Therapeutic Recreation Manager.

The position involves assisting families to and from their visit, as well as scheduling, greeting, screening, orienting, and educating visitors, while upholding expectations related to health and safety, and specifically infection prevention and control.

This position also will perform a variety of clerical and data entry tasks as assigned.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintains, monitors and follows an online visitation schedule. Performs related clerical duties such as making visitation appointments and maintaining records.
  • Greets visitors or staff, completes screening procedures, and obtains information, including health information, required in the admission of a visitor or staff to the facility, completes required admission documentation and performs related clerical duties. Prepares visitor identification as needed.
  • Explains policies, procedures and protocols related to Visitation, Health and Safety, and Infection Prevention and Control policies. Reports concerns to the Therapeutic Recreation Manager, or designate. Orients visitors to the facility as needed.
  • Prepares and maintains indoor screening area in a neat, tidy, and organized manner. Cleans and sanitizes screening area and other areas as needed.
  • Accompanies and supervises Residents and visitors. Ensures all protocols are followed and provides assistance as required
  • Performs a variety of data entry and administrative tasks as assigned.
  • Performs all other related duties as assigned.

EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum Grade 1
  • Completion of approved courses relevant to office procedures preferred
  • Strong computer skills and software knowledge (Microsoft Office, Comvida preferred)
  • One year related experience or and equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Must have excellent English written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to speak Mandarin or Cantonese preferred.
  • Detail oriented
  • Ability to teach
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to deal with others effectively
  • Ability to physically carry out duties of the position
  • Ability to organize work and possess good time management skills.
  • Ability to operate related equipment.

Job Type:

Part-time hours: per week

$23.64 per hour
