We are looking for someone to join our enterprise Climate Change and Environment PMO team as an Analyst.

This role reports directly to the Director of Climate and Environment PMO, Governance and Data and will engage with various internal stakeholders in a matrixed environment.

Our climate and environment PMO manages the development, execution and governance of climate plans, through collaboration with all of Sun Life's business groups and functions.

This includes partnering with teams across the business to define climate-related activities that align to strategy and regulatory requirements, and gathering the data in a meaningful way to drive necessary actions or decisions.


What will you do?

  • Gather, interpret and use data to develop and drive actionable steps to improve processes and optimize strategies or plans
  • Ensure data needs are sourced accurately and completely
  • Create and deliver reports to summarize efforts and help influence management decisions
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders and provide insight
  • Proficient with data analysis and visualization or reporting tools
  • Perform industry research as needed, and source comprehensive data sources
  • Help document procedural or process materials
  • Create and provide support of enterprisewide climate / program communication materials, including internal communications and external publications and reports
  • Support the team with evolving PMO climaterelated deliverables and projects as required

What do you need to succeed?

  • Insightful and detailoriented with appreciation to organize and analyze data in line with reporting deadlines
  • Ability to quickly learn data and reporting tools and techniques, and an intellectual curiosity to improve analytic and visualization methods
  • Track trends / patterns in analyzed data, summarize, and helping the team take actionable steps
  • Ability to articulate assumptions, analysis and interpretation of data and reports
  • Ability to help pull together management reports including Board Reporting
  • Possess the ability to change and the clear ability to convey the need for change
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Selfmotivated, with the ability to handle multiple priorities and tight deadlines, both independently and as part of a team
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships with colleagues and achieve outcomes through influence and collaboration

Education & training:


  • University degree in math, engineering, business, IT or related experience
  • Preference for 23 years of related experience
