You must be able to work any shift, and overtime is a critical component of this role.

This position requires an ability to work independently in a physically demanding environment, possess a general knowledge of maintenance equipment, have a strong mechanical aptitude, excellent organizational skills and possess effective oral and written communications; previous related work experience would be an asset.

A. Duties & Responsibilities

Perform preventative maintenance duties on equipment per PM Schedule.
Complete continuous improvement activities on work stations as directed
Troubleshoot Hydraulic, Pneumatic, Electrical & Mechanical issues
Record corrective action in maintenance software system.
Identify safety concerns and repair unsafe conditions.
Record repairs on preventative maintenance forms.
Provide proper lighting / racking to work areas.
Other duties assigned.

B. Minimum Qualifications

Minimum Grade 12.
Ability to read and write English

C.

Required Skills:

Mechanical aptitude & experience with hand tools
Some machining and some welding.
Understanding of WHMIS.
Understanding of Injection machines including auxiliary equipment.
Understanding of key Quality & Environmental Management Systems procedures related to job function.
Forms, Tags, and Labels governing job function.
