Summary

Responsibilities:


  • Providing administrative support for the Health and Safety department
  • Leading and coordinating the government grant program
  • Creating, tracking, and maintaining updates of the safety training matrix
  • Coordinating and scheduling various training for safety and construction employees
  • Coding and submitting invoices to the Accounting department related to Health and Safety
  • Submitting reimbursements for the Health and Safety team
  • Ordering safety equipment and PPE for various sites
  • Scanning and uploading safety related documents on Sharepoint
  • Uploading and tracking training certificates on BambooHR
  • Uploading safety documents and photo's on Procore
  • Pulling various safety reports on Procore for the Health and Safety team
  • Participating in the monthly Joint Health and Safety Committee, Mental Health and Wellness Committee and Construction Safety Officer meeting; meeting minutes and creating supporting documents
  • Conducting reference checks for the Construction Safety Officer recruits
  • Other duties as required

Skills & Requirements:


  • Education: Postsecondary education related General Office Administration would be an asset.
  • Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoints, Outlook, etc.).
  • Strong interpersonal, and communication skills including written and verbal.
  • Able to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside parties.
  • A team player who works well in a collaborative environment.
  • A selfstarter and quick learner who takes direction well and is able to work with mínimal supervision.
  • A creative thinker and effective problem solver.
  • Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and excellent planning and organizational skills.
  • A positive attitude
  • Able to take direction from multiple sources.
  • Willing to ask questions and find solutions.
