WHAT YOU WILL DO


Reporting to the Manager of Clinical Service, you will be an ambassador of The Newly to clients, assisting clients to navigate our services while receiving an exceptional client experience.

You'll be a primary point of contact for clients as they progress through their treatment plan, including facilitating intake, leading orientation, providing education, and checking in at important milestones.

Overseeing client case management and the respective administrative duties, you will also be a liaison between The Newly, clients, and other important third parties.


You'll work in a fast-paced environment as an integral member of a dynamic multidisciplinary team, while sharing our core values of communication, community, excellence, health, and innovation.


Accountabilities

  • Manage Workers Compensation Board (WCB) client referrals, waitlists, client bookings, and therapy assignments.
  • Schedule and complete orientation sessions for clients when initiating treatment, ensuring smooth transition of clients into program.
  • Liaise with key stakeholders, case managers, and other third parties to ensure timely and detailed communication between third parties and The Newly Institute.
  • Participate in case consultations and complex case discussions with the interdisciplinary team.
  • Communicate team decisions, care needs, and actionable items from weekly case consultation to appropriate staff and or clients.
  • Oversee client care, communicating progress, concerns, and outcomes with other clinicians.
  • Communicate with other clinicians on a regular basis regarding client care issues.
  • Ensure sameday completion of session notes.
  • Template and complete initial, progress, and discharge reports for funders, ensuring reports are assigned, completed, and sent, in a timely manner.
  • Maintain regular communication with the claim owner regarding client progress in programming, scheduling of case conferences, and extension requests etc.
  • Provide reports to third parties, community referral sources, and stakeholders, in a timely and professional manner.
  • Monitor schedules and client progress to ensure clients are booked into all necessary and appropriate groups and appointments.
  • Other responsibilities related to the role and scope of work may be assigned.

WHAT YOU BRING

Experience

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in mental health assessment/triage and treatment is required.
  • 1 or more years of experience in client coordination, and/or case management, preferably in a fastpaced environment is a significant asset.
  • 2 or more years of experience providing exceptional client service is also a significant asset.

Education

  • A bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Nursing, Kinesiology, or related field is required.
  • A master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Nursing, Kinesiology, or related field is an asset.

Professional Registration/Designation

  • An active registration with the Alberta Kinesiology Association (AKA), College of Alberta Psychologists (CAP), College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA), Alberta College Of Social Workers (ACSW), or Alberta College of Occupational T
