We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time Quality Manager, Meats to join our Quality Assurance team.


Reporting to the Manager, Quality Assurance, you will work closely with plant management, meat merchandising and Quality Assurance to ensure the quality of raw material and finished product complies with regulatory and plant & customer requirements, as well as establish and manage the product quality control program at the plant level.


You will be responsible for:

  • Managing the meat quality program, including the development of specifications, QC verification & escalation processes, and customer quality complaint handling processes.
  • Verifying all inbound/outbound products consistently meet customer specifications for safety and quality using key metrics and adhering to sampling and testing programs.
  • Liaising with raw material vendors to follow up on any quality issues and submit claims as needed.
  • Completing product quality audits, and documenting & reporting all quality inspection findings daily.
  • Conducting investigations on customer quality complaints, including documenting, and responding to customers with the investigation results.
  • Ensuring adherence and maintenance of established Quality Assurance program(s) and the delivery of highquality products.

You have:

  • A postsecondary degree in microbiology, Food Science, Public Health, or other relevant discipline.
  • 35 years of experience in food safety, quality assurance, auditing, supply chain, compliance, or other relevant experience within the meat industry.
  • Experience in meat manufacturing, meat inspection and/or retail meat department is an asset.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, including Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 40lbs.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts and travel on an as needed basis.

Compensation Details:
$85, $114,000.00

The compensation offered for this position will take into consideration location, education, skills, experience, and other factors.
