Position Description:

At a Glance

Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Database Technician to join the team in Vaughan, Canada to design, modify, and create databases using lighting plans in our innovative Light Management System.

Main Job Duties:

Design, modify and create lighting database for new projects throughout North America
Convert AutoCAD drawing floorplans into software format, to layer devices and configure to specified sequence of operations
Discuss with technicians and project managers as aides towards meeting customers' requirements
Accompany technician on job site for onsite experience

Qualifications:

Requirements:

Active student acquiring a diploma in any Major Engineering Field (Mechanical, Civil or Electrical)
Basic AutoCAD Experience
Must be able to travel to and from the office

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

Experience with computers (understanding of basic networking), an asset
Related hobby or passion for troubleshooting and learning "how things work", an asset
