Disaster Recovery and IT Resiliency Manager
What is the opportunity?
- Develop, plan, coordinate, perform and report on internal DR exercises globally as well as regulatory and vendor testing for Capital Markets (i.e. SIFMA)
- Continuously identify potential issues, conflicts, and risks. Analyze, mitigate and escalate where appropriate
- Effectively communicate and build rapport with team members, internal stakeholders such as other Functional groups as well as key infrastructure groups using a variety of techniques and collaboration methods to ensure upcoming DR tests, issues or other projects are on track and any risks are appropriately managed
- Increase automation in key processes and workflow where possible to ensure alignment with best available tools
- Contribute to any ongoing projects or reporting as required.
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?
Must have:
- Undergraduate university degree with focus in business or technology
- Demonstrated understanding of key technology infrastructure as well as recovery principles and best practices through prior experience preferably from the financial services sector
- Demonstrated ability in formal written and oral communication skills along with strong presentation skills as position will require communication with senior leadership and executive team
- Demonstrated advanced MS Excel skills including pivot tables, vlookup, charts, tables etc. as incumbent will be managing large data sets and reporting to facilitate planning and reporting needs
- Demonstrated ability to manage relationships and have difficult conversations, ensuring relationships grow and are strengthened over time
- Strong organizational, project management and time management capabilities
- Deadlinedriven and resultsoriented; able to meet consistently highquality standards while handling a variety of tasks and
- Self-Drive and strategic thinking, always looking for opportunities to optimize the practice for self and key stakeholders
Nice-to-have:
- Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery Certifications, or technology audit/compliance experience
- Experience in a matrixed environment, such as a large, publicly traded corporation or financial institution
- Ability to facilitate between and influence key decision makers
- Strategic thinker with excellent interpersonal skills to work across functions and businesses
