General Description
The warehouse driver should be physically agile to cart orders to customers and to fulfill time-sensitive delivery duties. Inspect assigned route sheets, gather requisite merchandise, and then load the delivery vehicle.

To ensure success as a warehouse driver, you should be familiar with pertinent vehicle weight restrictions, and you will inform clients of predictable delays.


Job Duties / Responsibilities

  • Drive vehicles for the purpose of transporting orders and materials to designated sites
  • Load and upload delivery vehicles and cart customer orders
  • Load merchandise thoughtfully to facilitate quick access
  • Secure cargo effectively
  • Ensure all items being delivered remain intact during transport and delivery
  • Maintain a clean vehicle (e.g., checking fluid levels, fueling, cleaning, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring safe operation of vehicle
  • Issuing customers with dated delivery notes
  • Complete Driver's Daily Log with milage information before route
  • Conduct daily vehicle inspection and report any problems
  • Review route sheets to establish daily delivery quotas, proposing alterations to route sheets, where applicable
  • Maintain various files and records (e.g., pick up orders, etc.) for the purpose of documenting activities, and providing materials and reliable resource information
  • Inform clients of predictable delays
  • Comply with company and government regulations and rules

Requirements / Skills

  • Varied experience as a warehouse driver
  • Commercial driver's license (DZ) required
  • Immaculate driving history
  • Knowledgeable about relevant vehicle weight restrictions
  • Impeccable coordination techniques
  • Ability to adapt to changing conditions, troubleshoot equipment, and find new routes when needed
  • Customeroriented, communicative, and efficient
  • Strong knowledge of securing items to ensure they remain intact during transport

Educational Requirements

  • High School Graduate or Equivalent
