Position Summary:


  • Contract ending: December 2023


Reporting to the Senior Manager, Compensation, the Compensation Specialist will partner with the Human Resource Business Partner and Talent Acquisition teams to support internal client groups across Canada and the United States.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Responsible for the administration and delivery of compensation programs (salary, shortterm incentives, and longterm incentives) that are aimed at attracting and retaining talent.
  • Evaluate new or materially changed jobs and analyze market compensation to determine an appropriate job level and develop a pay structure.
  • Partner with the Human Resource Business Partner team to provide advice to the client group and formulate solutions on compensationrelated issues.
  • Communicate and implement appropriate solutions in support of providing an effective client experience in relation to compensation.
  • Support participation in annual compensation surveys.
  • Other duties and participation in compensationrelated projects, as assigned.

Required Experience:


  • Experience in total rewards or compensation.
  • Possess a thorough understanding of compensation design practices and industry trends.
  • Strong knowledge of compensation practices and theory; CCP designation is an asset.
  • Advanced Excel skills and spreadsheet analysis.
  • Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • An individual with strong customer orientation and demonstrates flexibility and adaptability to create solutions.
