RESPONSIBILITIES:

Coordinate and lead archaeological field programs.
Perform archaeological field surveys and excavation for archaeological studies.
Conduct research and writing for archaeological and cultural heritage assessments.
Artifact analysis and cataloguing.
Provide quality review of archaeology/cultural heritage deliverables.
Provide technical consulting skills to support the growth of ERM's business and client base in the area of archaeology and cultural heritage, specifically in Western Canada.
Represent ERM through communications and at meetings with provincial/territorial and federal agencies.
Interact with other ERM service areas to share multidisciplinary resources and best practices across the country and internationally.
Assist with preparing proposals and reports to meet client needs.

REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Archaeology or Anthropology or related field (with a focus in archaeology)
Field director status in British Columbia.
Permit holding status a plus.
Previous consulting experience in other provinces and territories a plus.
Demonstrated fieldwork experience and understanding of field logistics.
Proven ability to carry research to completion.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Strong health and safety culture.
Ability to work within a team as well as independently.
Ability to work outdoors in variable weather conditions and on varied terrain.
Teamplayer, but also able to work independently in a fastpaced environment.
Valid First Aid, Driver's License and a good driving record.
