This role is often the first point of contact for students, parents, and visitors.

By virtue of this requires an incumbent who is patient, reflective and kind, and understands the impact they have on the perceptions of the school and the division.


The Brooks Composite High School (BCHS) is a high school of approximately 660 students in grades Students receive a full range of academic offerings in addition to a well-respected vocational program that includes Mechanics, Foods, Construction, Digital Technology, and Cosmetology.

BCHS also offers a large variety of fine arts, extra-curricular and athletic programs. The school hosts the District Life Skills program and supports a large English as an Additional Language program.

We have implemented early dismissal, for students, on Fridays (Fri-yay), to give more flexibility in schedules, for colleagues to meet, collaborate, and learn within working hours.


Job Duties:
Maintain the Student Information System program including scheduling and meeting Alberta Education requirements;
assist in using the KEV/School Cash system to maintain and complete daily school accounting and bookkeeping tasks;
act as a first point contact at the school, general and day-to-day inquiries from students, parents and community members, assist with substitute bookings; provide support as required;
manage web resources including digital communications, newsletter, events, and calendar; and,

maintain office resources, school and instructional supplies including ordering and organization.

Preferred Education and Certifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent

Post-secondary diploma in a relevant field

Familiarity with PowerSchool Student Information System, PASI, Docushare, Laserfische as well as, bookkeeping procedures, KEV and SchoolCash Online will be considered an asset
- a combination of relevant training, education and experience would be considered an asset
