RESEARCH INSTITUTE OF THE MUHC
The Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (RI-MUHC) is a world-renowned biomedical and hospital research centre.

Located in Montreal, Quebec, the Institute is the research arm of the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine at McGill University.

The RI-MUHC is supported in part by the Fonds de recherche du Québec - Santé (FRQS).

Position summary

General Duties
Under the direction of the immediate supervisor, the incumbent will:

  • Actively participate in the execution of the ongoing research project " Adalimumab for pain in individuals with mucopolysaccharidosis"
  • Be responsible for various administrative tasks (including budgets, management of meetings, and focus groups, minutetaking, and grant/protocol writing),
  • Support and supervise members of the lab with their research projects,
  • Provide training to new recruits, students and staff,
  • Establish research methods, designs protocol, and advances research
  • Troubleshoot research issues and resolves problems in the design
  • Review and evaluates research findings and determine results, prepare reports and manuscripts
  • Participate in local, national and international collaboration
  • Participate in group meetings and in the general daytoday management of Dr. Mitchell's research projects,
  • Accomplish any other related tasks as required by the immediate supervisor

Education / Experience

  • Education: Doctorate Degree
  • Field of Study: Epidemiology
  • Prior experience as a postdoctoral researcher, research assistant, or research associate,
  • Experience in project coordination and management,
  • Experience in data analysis and statistics,

  • Excellent competencies in oral and written communication skills in French and in English,
  • Team player, excellent organizational skills, rigor,
  • Autonomy, ability to work with minimum supervision,
  • Problemsolving skills.
  • Excellent French and English, spoken and written,

Additional information


Status:
Temporary, full time


Pay Scale:
Commensurate with education and experience


Work Shift:
: 9am - 5pm, Monday to Friday (flexible)

Glen Site
