The What
The How
- Build and develop a strong team aligned with MTD's goals, mission and vision. Attract, develop, motivate and retain highly productive and engaged employees. Provide mentorship to direct report and work to develop skills of the team. Foster a culture of trust, healthy conflict, commitment, accountability and results
- Responsible to translate business and marketing goals into welldeveloped and implementable channel strategies, programs and tactics
- Monitor trends in multichannel marketing, shopper marketing and experiential marketing to identify growth opportunities
- Partner with the Market Development team to support the aligned promotional strategy to maximize success in the IR Channel. Measure and analyze the sales lift to ensure maximize ROI
- Be the brand advocate and MTD marketing presence to the Dealers across Canada. Maintain the integrity of the brand's identity, personality, and value within IR channel strategy implementation
- Support the sales team by providing marketing materials, programs and reporting to enhance product sellin. Work with the sales team to advocate and demonstrate the company's competitive differentiation to the dealer network
- Oversee the development of shopper marketing campaigns based on retail insights, including pointofsale materials, fixtures, packaging and literature
- Lead event and tradeshow planning based on consumer insights, including event advertising, support materials and training to create brand engagement. Drive results and create measurable KPI's to validate the success of events
- Take the lead on channelrelated projects, which may include the following: print/collateral, videos/demos, events, executive presentations, etc
- Budget management, including coordination with sales programs
- Track and report the results of IR Channel Campaigns, including close rates and brand engagement, on various campaigns. Create and measure KPI's to optimize and maximize the ROI and drive brand awareness. Based on results, adjust campaigns where necessary
- Create and foster relationships with outside agencies and external vendors and ensure projects meet schedule, quality, and budgetary requirements
What we need:
- Fully Bilingual (English & French)
- BA in Marketing, Communications or Business
- 57 years experience in a Marketing role ideally in CPG
- Strong organizational skills
- Proven time management skills and strong business acumen and relationship building skills
