Coordinator, Marketing and Communications:

Reports to the Manager, Strategic Communications

Full-time, Permanent, Hybrid-remote

The Responsible Gambling Council (RGC) is recognized as a global leader in preventing problem gambling and reducing its impacts.

Based in Canada, RGC aims to reduce gambling harms by creating and delivering innovative awareness and educational programs as well as through research, advisory services and the RG Check accreditation program.

Key Responsibilities:


Digital Strategy (30%):


  • Maintain all activity related to , campaign landing pages and social channels (Meta, LinkedIN) ensuring consistent brand representation across all.
  • Work with internal/external stakeholders to identify opportunities for new website and social content and coordinate the updates /translation process. This may include writing and designing content.
  • Responsible for monthly/quarterly reporting using Google Analytics.
  • Coordinate the weekly deployment of eNewsletter.
  • Act as the first point of contact for RGC's community inbox, responding to support requests and connecting queries with internal stakeholders.

Conferences (40%):


  • Manage registration database providing daily reports and responding to enquiries.
  • Working with the planning committee, coordinate all assigned logistics leading up to conference and at event (Toronto, Ontario) including ordering supplies, set up/tear down at event, assigned tasks at event.
  • Manage budget tracker.
  • Support development of marketing assets for RGC presence at external conferences (presentations, banners, giveaways etc)

Marketing Support (30%):


  • Support Prevention Program Managers with the execution of their consumer prevention programs, as needed.

Qualifications:


Your Experience:


  • 2+ years working in a marketing role
  • Degree, Diploma or Certificate in Marketing, Communications, Business, Public Health or related field
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Creatively inclined individual with experience in content creation, project management, social media and graphic design
  • Strong ability to collaboratively work in crossfunctional teams and across the organization while being able to adapt in changing environments
  • Excellent interpersonal abilities, multitasking and prioritizing, problem solving skills and communication skills
  • High knowledge on inclusivity, diversity and equality in the workplace and ways to implement all three in a professional environment

Skills you bring to the role:

  • Mid-level design skills with experience in the use of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Canva and Illustrator), Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Experience working with CMS platforms i.e. WordPress and Mailchimp
  • Knowledge of Google Analytics
  • Proficient in the use of various social/digital media channels (including LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube and Facebook)
The salary range for this position is $47,800-$59,700 commensurate with skills and experience, along with excellent benefits.
