About the Opportunity:


The CHV works with families during the prenatal, postpartum and early childhood period and focuses on families who are potentially vulnerable or at risk of poor child health and development outcomes.

The CHV uses a family-centered, strengths-based approach to deliver the Enhanced Home Visiting (EHV) Program. Growing Great Kids (GGK) is the foundation for the home visits.


The CHV works collaboratively with the Early Years team (Public Health Nurses, EHV Coordinator, Administrative Support, Early Years Consultant and Manager) to ensure quality case management and service delivery for the Enhanced Home Visiting program.

Travel to various sites may be required.


About You:

We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

  • Grade XII and Diploma in Early Childhood Education, Social Sciences or Human Services from an accredited education institution required
  • One year experience working with or providing services to children and families required
  • Additional training in early childhood development an asset
  • A valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle (travel will be required)
  • Cultural First Nation Competency Training an asset
  • Current CPR and First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain
  • Ability to use audio visual equipment and general office equipment
  • Demonstrates the core competencies for public health as outlined in the job analysis
  • Demonstrates knowledge in the Health Protection Act and other relevant Regulations, Legislation & Acts, specifically the Child and Family Services Act
  • Competencies in other languages an asset; French preferred

  • Permanent Full Time / 100% FTE / 70 Hours Biweekly

Compensation and Incentives:

$28.68 -$32.48 Hourly
