We are looking for an
Injection Molding Technical Manager - an experienced leader in plastic injection molding. This role is part of the leadership team that drives safety, quality and daily performance within our facility.


What You Will Do in Your Role

  • Manage technical molding team.
  • Develop and implement training programs to improve the safety and productivity of direct reports.
  • Lead continuous improvement efforts for processing, materials usage, tooling, and automation to improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (Availability, Performance, Quality, Materials, and cost)
  • Participate in new program launches to validate target cycle times, review mould design/construction, and complete the first production trials.
  • Requisition supplies and liaise with external vendors for repairs/service calls.
  • Build economic cases for capital expenditure related to building, equipment, and tooling.
  • Participate in regular quality and delivery meetings to determine root cause and corrective actions for results.

Your Qualifications

  • 3+ years experience in a leadership role managing a molding department.
  • 5+ years of experience setting up injection molds is considered an asset.
  • Experience with robotics, automation, EOAT is considered an asset.
  • Education relevant to plastic, injection molding, or a relevant technical field is preferred.
  • Experience with tools and measuring devices.
  • Experience operating forklifts and gantries.
  • Proficient English skills to support effective training and workplace safety
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing concepts and practices.
  • Strong with all Microsoft Office products.
