DZ Driver (Full Time, 12 Months Contract with Benefits) - Ottawa, ON

This position operates various trucks such as tractor trailers, bobtail and cryogenic liquid transport vehicles to transport cylinders, liquid or tube trailers to branch, plant, and customer locations.

Key Accountabilities:

Deliver tube trailers or cargos of cylinders, liquid containers and/or hardgoods between branches and plants
Complete shipping orders and related paperwork
Complete electronic trip records, fuel tickets, and other necessary reports
Complete pre and posttrip inspections

Education:

High school graduate or equivalent experience

Experience:

Must have a Class 3 Driver's License for a minimum of 36 months
Must have 24 months of relevant driving experience within the previous 5 years, with equipment that is similar in size and type
Must not have had a Level 1 or Level 2 equivalent "in control" vehicle incident within the past 24 months

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:

Mechanical Aptitude
Knowledge of compressed gases and the safe handling of gases
Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) and Workplace Hazardous Materials Information
System (WHMIS) training
Some knowledge of vehicle maintenance
Knowledge of onboard computer
Ability to operate a smartphone
Ability to lift 60 pounds
Relevant product knowledge and experience preferred
Must be fully vaccinated against COVID1
