Primary Role of This Position

The primary role of the Inventory Management Business Analyst is to measure, monitor, and present key performance indicators for continuous improvement, strategic initiatives/projects, and day-to-day operations specific to inventory management (IM).

Secondary responsibility is to be the liaison between inventory management, vendors, and distribution centres regarding delivery issues, escalations, and investigations.


Responsibilities:


  • Identify, analyze, document, and validate the key business gaps and impact to inventory management
  • Project management collaboration, participation, and lead projects and ensure alignment amongst key stakeholders
  • Continuous improvement processes to identify and assess gaps in IM business processes, and system capabilities
  • Support reporting execution, consultation, and reinforcement of results
  • Organize and lead seasonal updates and projects, results analysis, and timeline management
  • Oversee monthly service investment strategy (SIS) updates
  • Generate reports, and audit and amend DFIO system settings as required
  • Prepare reports as required
  • Other duties as required
Education

  • University degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering or Science
  • 3 years of demonstrated knowledge and working experience in a demand planning/replenishment environment

Qualifications:


  • Detail oriented
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel and Access)
  • Strong analytical/quantitative thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Highly motivated and responsible with an ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate technical, analytical/quantitative, or conceptual information and ideas to senior management
  • Programming knowledge in platforms such as MS SQL Server, MS Visual Studio or Java is an asset
  • Working knowledge of JBA, DFIO, LogPro considered an asset
