Job Posting Details:


Position:
Broadcast Technician, Bell Media

Job location: 1717 Rene-Levesque Blvd E, Montreal (Quebec)


Salary:
Commensurate with qualifications and experience
Hours of Work: 35 hours per week | Availability to work sometimes on nightshifts and on weekends, on rotation, on call


Responsibilities:


  • Design, maintain and support diverse Media broadcast systems that support the entire ecosystem of media
  • Troubleshoot systems, softwares and hardwares malfunctions
  • Collaborating with production partners, operations, technology groups and engineering teams to create functional media systems
  • Work in partnership with networking and security teams to share findings and support requests for change and new installations
  • Making business critical decisions without supervision with confidence
  • Prioritizing tasks with peer groups

Qualifications:


  • DEC in Electronic technology (Telecommunications) or equivalent experience
  • Experience with radio consoles/board/mixer set up
  • Experience with digital streaming, podcasts and Web
  • Experience with Digital Encoding
  • Experience with Mic Processing and Final Audio Processing
  • Experience with Cloud workflows within a media environment
  • Experience with broadcast IP standards and the network securities that surround it
  • Understanding of virtualized workflows
  • Knowledge of RF and systems including AM and FM
  • Knowledge of Automation
  • Knowledge of networking and computers/data processing
  • Knowledge of electricity (repair work on the bench)
  • Demonstrate autonomy and resourcefulness
  • Ability to work with all team members and to collaborate with partner teams
  • Own a valid driver's license
  • Bilingualism (an asset)
