Description

This is a temporary full-time position from December 2023 to March 2024.

Role Summary

As the Accounting Representative, you will provide administrative support to the Finance Team, actively engaging in a hands-on capacity to support the ECM (Avalara Enterprise Certificate Management) Project.

As the Accounting Representative, you will report directly to the Corporate Controller and will work collaboratively with the Finance team.

The Finance team is growing and currently consists of 13 people.

Responsibilities

Assist with the collection of Sales Tax Certificates
Maintenance Excel tracking collecting data information
Customerfacing and communication
Manage communication and documentation of responses from customer
Assist in maintaining Sales Tax Outlook inbox
Scan, file and organize documents and historical records
Assist in maintaining the department procedures manual
Perform various other accounting duties as assigned

Qualifications

A certificate or diploma in Accounting or Bookkeeping
A minimum of two (2) years of relevant work experience
Proficient in MS Office including Excel, Word and Outlook
Knowledge of Sage 300 and Avalara is an asset
Accuracy and attention to detail
Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to multitask, adjust to shifting priorities and manage time effectively to meet deadlines in a fastpaced, multipledeadline environment
A strong collaborator with the ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with others both internally and externally
Ability to exercise diplomacy and discretion and to handle information appropriately
Flexibility to support beyond core business hours when necessary
