POSITION MANDATE
Plans, develops, and oversees TPS's marketing and communication activities and campaigns. Shapes outward image of the organization through brand development and awareness.


REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES

  • Remains current with TPS's operations to understand marketing needs.
  • Conducts research to identify industry trends and commercial opportunities.
  • Sets and implements marketing strategy and related budget, in consultation with the Manager.
  • Creates and updates marketing brochures to reflect services and skills, as required.
  • Advertises TPS and related products and services on various media (associations, social media channels, Google, etc.).
  • Designs promotional campaigns for products and markets.
  • Develops and implements social media strategy.
  • Creates, provides and publishes engaging content (text, image and video) for social media accounts focused on community, expertise, projects and humanizing the brand.
  • Monitors social media channels and addresses queries, as necessary.
  • Builds and raises brand awareness.
  • Creates and implements brand guidelines/manual to ensure consistency both internally and externally.
  • Participates in events to build and boost brand awareness.
  • Develops templates for all outward facing documentation in line with ISO9001:2015 document management standards.
  • Manages and administers company store website.
  • Sets and implements communication strategy to align with marketing strategies.
  • Creates content and image of corporate websites; updates content as required.
  • Manages and administers the SharePoint site for internal communications including crafting and posting company updates and information for internal consumption.
  • Advises management on branding, positioning, communications and other marketing issues.
  • Monitors marketing efforts/projects and analyzes metrics to ensure a good return on investment.
  • Manages daily administrative tasks to ensure the department runs smoothly.
  • Establishes and maintains guidelines for promotions, community sponsorships, job ad postings, etc.
  • Establishes and monitors marketing related budget, in consultation with the Manager.
  • Coordinates promotional and branding events such as tradeshows.
  • Reviews and approves staff time and assignments.
  • Allocates resources, managing own and staff time across areas of responsibility juggling competing timelines and deadlines.
  • Provides feedback and coaching, completes and conducts annual performance appraisals for direct reports and provides input on the performance of functional reports. Consults with the Manager on how to address chronic performance matters.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE


The position requires a post secondary education in business, sales and/or marketing and a minimum 5 years of relevant experience.

An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

  • Positive and professional relationships and communications with internal and external contacts essential to performing the position's duties are established and maintained.
  • Performance issues are corrected as they arise.
  • Compliance with internal quality standards, established engineering standards and practices, policies, procedures and relevant legislation and regulations is the norm.
