Specific Accountabilities:


The Professor will be responsible for providing academic leadership and for developing appropriate teaching and learning environments that support student success.

You will be expected to support student learning and progress, create assessments, rubrics, and evaluate student achievement.


You will be expected to prepare lesson plans and provide instruction using a variety of teaching techniques and current technologies that enhance student success.

You will be expected to Deliver courses in accordance with curriculum standards;
In this role, you will work collaboratively with our teaching team to ensure quality program delivery and student experiences.

The incumbent reports to the Associate Dean of the School of Fire Sciences, Health and Community Services


Qualifications:


  • Must have a current license in good standing with the Ontario College of Pharmacists as a Pharmacy Technician or a Pharmacist
  • A Bachelor's Degree in a related field is preferred
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years experience as a pharmacy technician in Hospital and or Community setting
  • Teaching experience at the postsecondary level would be an asset
  • Must be able to relate effectively to a wide variety of learners
  • Able to think broadly, celebrate diversity of thought, and respect the uniqueness of individuals.
  • Demonstrates a commitment to lifelong learning and has a high standard of professional integrity
