Participates in and supports the operational activities of a business unit.

Applies experience and complete working knowledge of the job and policies/practices to perform a combination of routine tasks and varied administrative/operational assignments.

What will you do?

  • Responsible for the provision of operational services within the Procurement team with a focus on providing internal client services and managing workflow related to financial analysis, requisitions and invoice processing for all areas of the RBC organization.
  • Provide Spend Analytics reporting (monthly, quarterly, etc.)
  • Support deal negotiations to ensure optimal value for RBC by improving levels of quality, service, technology, and pricing.
  • Work with RBC users to develop and execute Demand Management strategies by ensuring preferred supplier compliance, optimal product selection, usage reduction and substitution to drive Demand Management savings.
  • Proactively monitor user needs, behaviors and work to provide required products and services by liaising with users and suppliers
  • Supports the gathering of data in building strategy
  • Assist the Procurement team and businesses in the acquisition of goods and services.
  • Provide primary operational services to meet the business requirements of the internal client while enabling other Corporate Services functions to support organizational initiatives.
  • Support the Platform in development of specifications and demand management initiatives
  • Improve capabilities for RBC Globally to manage suppliers, make appropriate business decisions, leverage technology, and ensure cost efficiencies are realized.
  • Make decisions and recommendations on behalf of RBC to reduce its costs relative to the procurement of goods and services and Demand Management goals
  • Support, influence and challenge decisions based on data and insightful analyses
  • Working with Senior Procurement Representatives your goals will include the following:
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of RBC spend for multiple categories
  • Build and maintain profiles of each of our Suppliers.
  • Develop performance related metrics to measure and report upon RBC, Supplier and sourcing effectiveness.
  • Build indepth Supplier Management knowledge.
  • Provide valuable support and guidance to RBC Business Unit with supplier management activities.
  • Evaluate / Recommends potential cost savings resulting from contract / relationship reviews.
  • Mitigate risk by educating RBC Business Units on the Supplier Management process.
  • Mitigate RBC risk exposure by ensuring that the RBC contract standards are followed.
