Pastry kitchen cook required for a top Toronto area catering company.


Responsibilities:


  • Following recipes to prepare from scratch a large number of pastry items including: cakes, French pastries, and individual desserts.
  • Assist pastry chef with ongoing production requirements as well as making on demand items.
  • Arrange prepared items on platters to fill customer orders.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work space. Adhere to health & safety standards at all times.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years experience working in Pastry.
  • Able to work in a fast paced kitchen environment producing high quality products.
  • High level decorating & finesse skills.
  • Experience masking cakes, and decorating cupcakes/french pastries.
  • Experience with mass production baking.
  • Eye for detail.
  • Perform kitchen duties in accordance with food safety and cleanliness guidelines.
  • Able to work comfortably and safely with knives and sharp tools.
