Summary of Responsibilities:
- Assist in writing content and designing materials for print and digital materials to engage and inform the Admissions & Recruitment audiences: graduate, undergraduate, transfer, international, and mature students, as well as guidance counsellors/teachers, community partners, parents, families, and supporters.
- Support social media alongside the Communications & Design Coordinator to provide accurate and timely information for audiences and cultivate a strong relationship with OCAD U.
- Using the Content Management System (CMS), assist in the upkeep of content on the Admission & Recruitment website, ensuring it is up to date with relevant information.
- Provide frontline service at the Welcome Centre as needed to support to admissions & recruitment audiences.
- Support the Admissions & Recruitment team in all other duties contributing to the successful operation of the office
Qualifications:
- Postsecondary diploma in communications or equivalent experience. Familiarity with art or design an asset,
- Minimum one (1) year of experience in communications in a customer service role, preferably within the arts, cultural, community or educational sector
- Intermediate experience in Adobe Suite
- Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills for diverse audiences
- Demonstrated attention to detail, ability to prioritize competing demands, meet deadlines and participate collaboratively in a team environment
- Flexibility in work hours; must be willing and able to work evenings, as required
- Demonstrated commitment to the principles of equity and diversity and experience promoting a respectful work and learning environment for students, staff and faculty
- Experience working with CRM systems and/or course registration systems is an asset
Compensation:
OPSEU Unit 1, Appendix A, Grade 2; $23.48 to $32.29 per hour
Hours of Work:
Monday to Friday, for a total of 35 hours per week. This is a temporary contract expected to continue until March 31, 2025.
