As a
Recycle Truck Driver (Residential Driver) for GFL, you are responsible for the timely, safe, efficient and customer friendly delivery of waste collection and recycling services to our customers.

This is for the manual labor blue box curbside recycle collection.

Because you're at the front line of our business, you help establish and influence the public impression of GFL and ensure it remains an accurate reflection of who we are and what we stand for as a company.

**Key Responsibilities:
- *
  • Ensure that service is completed in accordance with established policies
  • Responsible for daily pre and post trip inspections and log book completion
  • Complete an assigned daily route in a timely and safe manner as directed by the Operations Manager or designate
  • Perform driver checkins at days end to ensure complete and accurate paperwork completion
  • Ensure all protocols are followed while dumping loads at municipal facilities
  • Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Site Manager or designate

Knowledge, Skills & Competencies:


  • Positive attitude and sense of pride
  • Customer service focused
  • Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
  • Minimum Class 3 with air endorsement
  • Repetitive heavy lifting from 1030lbs consistently
  • Must be able to sustain lifting and bending daily for approximately 800 to 1000 homes a day based on routing
  • Working knowledge of Lower Mainland, BC
  • Selfstarter with strong work ethics and attention to detail
  • Willing to work alone in all types of weather conditions
  • Work experience in the waste, recycling or environmental services industries an asset
